Sf6 Gas Density Meter is used for showing Gas Density values in a sealed vessel on the site. It can be widely used in electric equipment including SF6 circuit breakers, pole-mounted switches, transformers and mutual inductors. It provides solutions for new construction of transformer substations and intelligent reconstruction of existing transformer substations.

Working principle
The density meter is composed of pressure sensing element, transmission mechanism, temperature compensation element and indicating device.
Based on the pressure measurement principle with temperature compensation, the pressure value corresponding to a certain density value of SF6 gas in the sealed container is measured through the density detection system to display the field density value.
In a sealed container, The pressure value of SF6 gas at a certain temperature (20 ℃) can be regarded as this temperature (20 ℃) gas density value. We take the SF6 gas pressure value at 20 ℃ as the representative value of its corresponding density and take it as the scale value. When the ambient temperature changes, the temperature compensation element compensates the gas pressure change value caused by the temperature change. Therefore, as long as the SF6 gas density remains unchanged, the indicated value of the density meter remains unchanged.
Installation and use
Before installation, carefully check whether the measuring range of the density meter meets the SF6 gas pressure value in the measured sealed container to avoid
overpressure damage to the instrument. When selecting the instrument, it shall be noted that the upper pressure limit at the actual instant shall not exceed 1.2
times of the full measuring range of the instrument.
During installation, avoid the collision of density meter and the collision of interface sealing surface.
The installation position shall truly reflect the SF6 gas pressure inside the sealed container.
The density meter shall be installed vertically. For outdoor installation, sunscreen and rainproof cover shall be installed above.
During installation, the tightness of the threaded interface shall be strictly guaranteed without slight leakage.
